Window shopping

Hello People,

I am in an unusually great mood today. No idea why, but that is not such a bad thing at all, is it? Hope you all too are having a great time. I have been shopping a lot these days *a lot* (alright!) window shopping. I told you about my friend's wedding. So, I have been window shopping on the internet for shoes and stuff. Here are a few things I like and are really affordable.
1. These Ethnic slippers. Love the color and they really appeal to my style, elegant and comfy.
2. Second would be these. Aren't they gorgeous? And really affordable! That is a score. They will go with my saree as well. I will post a few pictures of my saree later on. Do you guys have any suggestions on shoe store where I can buy online and that they have good choice in ethnic shoes and they ship quickly, because the wedding is like next Sunday. Yikes!

I guess I will just have to shop locally.

Have a great day you all!

Crocheting the weekend and a fun task!

Hey guys,

How have you been? I had a great weekend, crocheting all the way. I had bought a shimmery eyelash yarn in blue and peach. I love how it feels and looks but geee! it's a pain crocheting with it. You cannot track your stitches back.

It is similar to the eyelash yarn found at Lionbrand yarn. Image:Lionbrand yarn

How do you crochet with a yarn that does not show stitches at all, no difference whatsoever. Guys, got any tips working with such yarn? because, I so want to work with it, it's so soft and shimmery. It would be a real shame to give it up. So, I just started finger crocheting with it. It's a little bit time - consuming but I am loving the effect.

On a side note, I really want to make a list like this. I just had my 24th birthday and there are so many things I want to do and the time seems to be running away! These are exciting times though. And for the time being I am happy being 24 :o) (just wish I could stay away from the arranged marriage jargon going on in my family :o( )

See you another day and stay tuned for my version of the 25 things to do before i turn 25 :o) What would you put in your list?
Have a nice day you guys.

Gifts List

Hey guys,
How have you been? I had some great time crocheting and shopping :)
I am currently trying to make this really easy granny shrug. You can find the pattern here. I did make a few changes as I went about it but the construction is pretty much same.

So as we have started with some crochet love, I thought I should share (and document) some projects I plan on making next. Hurray for the internet!

1. These Seed Stitch Slippers:

2. This mollie flowers shawl for mom. She would love this gift from me.
This is a great tutorial for the mollie flowers from Roman Sock. And I probably need to make one for my friend who is getting married on the 18th. Yikes! that is near. I need to start right away.

3. This hat for my bro.

That's it! This may actually take me months to do. But still I am going to try.
Have great day!

My Winter Wishlist!!

Hi guys,

Now that this blog is lacking any posts whatsoever, let alone posts on sewing, I thought i would share a few things I am drooling over on the internet these days. All these stores in UK and US make me want to break the bank!! At the same time I am a little bit frustrated with the fact that there is hardly any presence in India. I cannot pay for the product itself (exorbitant rates!) and add to that shipping, and you get the frustration. Sigh. Anyhow, here is a collage of my winter wishlist!
