Doors to history

Warning - Photo heavy post.

Hello readers,

How have you been? Spring has been too fast to enter in my part of the world and also seems to be leaving to fast to usher in what promises to be a very hot summer. I took advantage of a wondeful saturday to go click some photos at a really pretty palace/house near my place. It's the Aga Khan Palace in Pune. It's an exquisite building with lush gardens on all sides. It's so beautiful, you kind of forget that you are actually right in the middle of the city. Here we go on a tour:

The plant life and blooms were absolutely stunning.

There is a significance to the place in Indian history. When British colonised India in the nineteenth and early twentiet century, Mahatma Gandhi was kept under house arrest here, along with his wife Kasturba Gandhi and a secretary Mahadev Bhai Desai. Both his wife and his secretary breathed their last at this place and their ashes are kept here as a samadhi alongwith a part of Gandhiji's ashes. It's a very serene place, silent and perfect for meditation or contemplation.

We met this guy on one of the stairs. He was a pretty cool model.

How did you find a little part of our history (it's right in my backyard, sort of unbelievable). Did you like it? I would love to hear about famous places near your place of residence or any place you love to go on quiet weekends, do tell me.

 Buh bye till next time.

White as Snow

Hey there,

How are you guys? And how is spring in your part of the globe? Here it is more hot than I would like, but fine nonetheless. The flowers make it easier :o)

In other news, I went ahead and bought a F21 White jeans, yup! White as snow. And I dread wearing it the wrong way (obviously I dread it getting dirty, but that is another story), like I turn out to looking like a fool with whitewashed bottoms. SO I started compiling inspirations on how to wear light bottoms easily. Not that my body type matches with any of these skinny girls there, nonetheless, it's fun. Go check my Pinterest board here.

Here are a few ways I love:

Combining it with pastels and Navy Blue or Grey seems to be a safe bet.
What is your tip for wearing a white jeans? Any rules you play with? I would love to know.

P.S - be ready for a picture heavy post at a really romantic spot near my home. I loved going about photographing it for you guys.
